Transparency at City of Winnipeg

We have been hearing from Winnipeg residents that they do not trust their government- from mayoral candidates not willing to state they would continue the Winnipeg Police HQ lawsuit to the most recent “you scratch my back I’ll scratch yours”

Rana Bokhari has been pushing for Transparency in Government for a few years and finally has a chance now to work on it herself as part of her election campaign for Mayor of Winnipeg.

Recently, we have also read news akin to “You scratch my back, and I’ll scratch yours” that creates lack of trust in political leadership.  In Winnipeg, we have suffered from this nature of politics for years – it is time to take a stand, and address the elephant in the room “Transparency at Winnipeg City Hall”

Since her campaign launch, Rana has been speaking about what Transparency in Government means to her and how she wants to ensure that resident concerns are being heard and the local city council is responsive to it.

Rana is engaging city voters at every possible opportunity as she meets people through door knocking, attending social group events, and using the media platform as much as possible.

Recently, there was also a poll of 622 residents claiming clear acclamation of the next Mayor of Winnipeg. Does a poll of 622 people represent more than 800,000 residents of Winnipeg?

It clearly does not, and Rana is working to share that she is the most hard working candidate in the election with the leadership experience that Winnipeg needs.
